All the comforts of home with 9-foot ceilings in the open kitchen/sitting/lounge area. A master bedroom with a door contains a king-size bed and a lot of storage. Above you’ll find a loft area with low ceilings and two double mattresses, perfect for small adults or children. A fold-out sofa bed provides additional sleeping in the lounge/sitting area. Dual air conditioning and 40K BTU furnace keep the temperature comfortable. The unit has a large fridge with an ice maker, stove, microwave, and TV for indoor cooking and living. Outside you’ll find a large 300 square foot deck and BBQ.
We are a young family of 4 and welcome kids in this unit. The speed limit in the resort is 16 km/h on flat pavement, perfect for letting kids explore on bikes and scooters in safety. We provide two kid-sized water kayaks and life jackets, as well as other miscellaneous beach toys. Swim in the ocean, the estuary, or the heated outdoor swimming pool. The common space sun deck boasts beautiful ocean views and a group hot tub. Inside the shared clubhouse you’ll find a reading area, shuffleboard, and a billiards table. The property also contains several tennis courts and horseshoe pits.
Nearby Attractions
As nice as the resort is, this property is a perfect adventure home base. It’s 40 minutes from the BC ferries (Duke Point and Departure Bay), 10 minutes from Coombs, 2 hours from Tonfino/Uculet, and an hour from Mount Washington. Other attractions in the area include 3 world-class golf courses, mini golf, bumper boats, Rathtrevor Beach, lake and ocean fishing, whale watching, a huge playground, a boardwalk, and if it’s the right time of year, an international sandcastle competition.
Fishing
Lots of local lakes and rivers to fish, or go for salmon or crab locally, in Port Alberni, or Bamfield.
Mount Washington
Ski in the winter, mountain bike in the summer. Mt. Washington Alpine Resort, about an hour away.
Boardwalk & Playground
The famous Lion's Venture Land Playground and more. Also, if it’s the right time of year, sand sculpting.

My family of 5 booked with Nolan for 7 nights and had a fantastic time! As soon as our booking was confirmed, Nolan communicated with us about what to expect as we had not stayed in a trailer before. He sent links to videos showing each room & the important things to know ( how to use the stove & oven, how the toilet works, etc). He communicated with us right up to our stay and also during, to make sure everything was going well. We have 3 children and they loved sleeping up in the loft and also appreciated that they could still watch their favourite shows on netflix, Disney, etc. The resort was perfect! The pool & beach were only a short walk from the trailer & it was so amazing to see the herd of deer, that roam the property, so close! The bunnies are so cute too! Lovely RV in a quiet RV resort right on the water in Parksville. The RV has a great layout. We especially appreciated the sleeping loft area for the kids. Keep in mind this is an RV so it is a bit cozy compared to a cabin but a castle when compared to camping.
The RV unit had a few things to figure out as the systems are a bit different than a house, but the host has placed QR codes around the unit that link to instructional videos. Incredibly helpful and very well placed for where you might need them.
The RV resort itself was great. Right on the water at the Englishman River Estuary. Lots of beachfront to explore, collect seashells, and play in the tidal waters. A 20 min walk or short drive over to Parksville Community Park for a playground and more beach.
The host was incredibly responsive and very helpful throughout. Overall, a great experience for our family of four.

The Walkers - About Us
We are the Walker family; Nolan, Shannon, Isabella, James, and Salty. This site was set up to allow people to rent our personal vacation property on site C259 at Surfside RV resort in Parksville. We have been staying/renting at Surfside for over 15 years, and as of 2020, we invested in our favorite place to vacation. We are not a business, this our personal vacation property. If we could use it all summer we would, but since work and school gets in the way, we’re offering it up to rent. We’d love to see other families enjoy this spot, and would love see your photos if you do!
